It’s as easy as 1–2–3 with The Oscar Project

The convenient choice for safe, responsible disposal of old devices.

1. Tell us what you’d like to recycle

  • Click on the ‘Get Started’ button in top
    right-hand corner of page
  • Tell us what you’d like to recycle and the quantities
  • Choose to use your own packaging or add-on
    a mail-in kit for $19.99
  • Complete the check-out and receive your order number.

2. Mail in your devices

  • Affix the pre-paid shipping label to your own packaging or wait for the arrival of your pre-prepared mail-in kit.
  • Drop your package at a mailbox or one of over
    6,000 Canada Post outlets.

3. Track your order

  • You’ll receive email updates at each stage of the process.
  • Once any remaining data left on your device(s) is destroyed, you’ll receive a certificate validating its completion.
  • Your device(s) will then be responsibly recycled, or you may choose to give them a second life. i What do we mean by giving your device a ‘second life’?

    If your smartphone or tablet is still functional, we’ll refurbish it, securely wipe the data, and donate it to bridge the digital divide in Canada. By choosing this option, you’re helping us create a more inclusive future and reduce e-waste. Please note that laptops and hard drives can’t be refurbished.
